The Federal Government’s Sixth Soil Protection Report summarizes the key developments and progress made in soil protection during the 20th legislative period (2021 to 2025). Despite numerous soil protection initiatives, the report makes it clear that there remains a significant need for action to strengthen sustainable use and preserve soil functions. Among other things, it offers suggestions on how legal requirements could be strengthened to better protect soil functions.
