  • This year's "4th Berlin Forum on Chemicals and Sustainability" was held in preparation for the first international conference of the Global Framework on Chemicals (GFC), which is scheduled for November 2026. The event focused on leveraging public and private finance to support the implementation of the GFC.

    Federal Minister for the Environment Carsten Schneider and UNEP Executive Director & UN Under-Secretary-General, Inger Andersen opened the event. Parliamentary State Secretary Bettina Hagedorn delivered the closing remarks. 

    The Berlin Forum on Chemicals and Sustainability is a high-level event initiated by the Federal Ministry for the Environment. It aims to create momentum on the road towards a planet free of harm from chemicals and waste.
