Activities by the Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety to protect public health against heat and UV exposure

The Federal Ministry for the Environment, Climate Action, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMUKN) is working on numerous measures to protect our health against heat and UV exposure. Key legislation, programmes and policies have already been adopted and are being implemented. Others are being prepared. These measures are interlinked and complementary. They create important structures and frameworks for adaptation to climate change. And they have local and direct effects for people and communities, enabling them to prepare for and mitigate the impacts of climate change.
